Traditional Family Law
Traditional Family Law is the optimal approach if one or both spouses believe that setting of deadlines and the formulation of an orderly process for moving forward is necessary to achieve the best results possible regarding the case.
Traditional Family Law tends to resolve cases sometimes means that the court system is actually asked to rule, but often not. Pursuing this method does not mean a case inevitably will go to trial, but rather leverages the powers of the courts to set deadlines to help attain desired results. This approach tends to resolve cases in a much quicker time frame. Many clients choose this approach if there is concern about lack of forthrightness, other relationships, a history of financial nondisclosure, substance abuse, mental health issues and other sensitive matters. Only if the two opposing parties cannot come to an agreement between themselves, the courts will decide for them. Mediation is often a step used in this approach as a settlement strategy before one would ever go to trial and if other informal settlement strategies have not been successful.
